How to create document types

document types have to created for two reasons
document types are linked to chart tabs, this is where the patient’s information is kept. Once the document type is linked to a chart tab each time the document type is saved it is automatically stored in the chart tab for that particular patient.
in order for an encounter template to be authorized it must be associated with a document type. Once the encounter template is authorized HPN chart automatically place the template into the appropriate chart tab
from the document types list click add document and fill in the information
document name
document abbreviation (WHY?)
document key (What is this?)
document presentation type (this how the document will be presented on the screen)
associated tab
click submit to save the document type
