- Each tree node corresponds to a "clause" which reports a medical line of questioning. The answer/finding for a clause can be collected using field types such as edit box, drop down list, check box, formula fields, time stamps etc.
- Each "clause" can have a default sentence and/or a user defined sentence template. The sentence template is a complete sentence paragraph with embedded "macros" that are substituted with data collected.
- Data capture is internally structured as decision trees. A set of pre-defined "macros" are available for ready use in the sentence, e.g., Patient Name, Gender, Age, Ref. Physicians, etc.
- Once data collection is complete, the proper sentences are automatically generated by using the Panacea Macro Processor Language. A set of rules is available to bubble up sentences from the bottom tree node ("clause") to the root level ("section").
